Bell Library Looks Back On Successful Summer Reading Program

MENTONE — The Bell Memorial Public Library has announced its programs for the upcoming week.

The library’s Summer Reading Program ended July 12. Participants have until Monday, July 15, to turn in reading logs.

SRP Pizza Party
On Saturday, July 13, at noon, the library will host a pizza party to close out the 2019 Summer Reading program.  This is open to all kids and teens who have participated.  

Calling All Crafters
The library is asking patrons to join staff on Thursday, July 18, for Creative Corner. This month, crafters can make a tie-dyed silk scarf using tissue paper and water. Cost for this class is $5. Creative Corner is open to adults ages 18 years and older.

Hoopla Digital
The library has announced the following titles: “The Gone” by Chanelle Benz, “Dear Wife” by Kimberly Belle and “Red Birds” by Mohammed Hanif. Juvenile titles include: “The Long Lost Home” by Maryrose Wood and “The Truth As Told by Mason Buttle” by Leslie Connor.  

The library has announced a book sale happening now in its main lobby. Prices are 25 cents for hardback and E hardbacks or five for $1; 10 cents for paperbacks; 50 cents for audiobooks and 25 cents for music CDs. DVDs as marked, some are $1, some are $3.

New kids DVDs include “Garfield and Friends Season 1,” “Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Hi-Tech Fashion,” “Arthur Celebrates Community,” “Ugly Dolls,” “Butterbean’s Café,” “Missing Link,” “Peppa Pig Sunny Vacation,” “Bubble Guppies Super Guppies,” “Wild Krats: Australian Adventures,” “Curious George Plays Ball,” “Shimmer and Shine: Welcome to Zahramay Falls,” “Nick Jr.: Meet the Baby Animals,” “Doc McStuffins: School of Medicine” and “Munki and Trunk: Meet the Jungle Crew.”
