GOSHEN — Go back in time to Goshen’s famous cruising days with our annual Cruising Reunion. Car enthusiasts of all types are welcome –– give us your wacky, your wild, your classic, your collector, and your inevitable lost semi or minivan.
Let’s see those sweet rides for this one-night-only reunion to celebrate Goshen’s history as the cruising capital of the world.
There will be live music, great food, and more for an evening of nostalgic fun.
Hundreds of vehicles and thousands of spectators are expected to pack downtown streets and sidewalks for the “Reunion,” a trip down memory lane to when Goshen reigned as the country’s cruising capital.
“Cruising Reunion” will be a showcase for classic cars, souped-up vans, and unique motorcycles. The event isn’t all about vintage vehicles, though. Also, there’s no registration to participate.
“People literally just come downtown and drive, with the older generation passing along this Goshen tradition to a whole new generation!,” said Adrienne Nesbitt, event director for Eyedart Creative Studio, which coordinates First Fridays.
In addition to a multitude of motor vehicles, the July First Fridays will also include a DJ playing music on the Elkhart County Courthouse lawn. Food vendors and a beer tent will be set up at the courthouse square as well.
“Cruising comes back to Goshen one day a year,” Nesbitt said. “Everyone is invited downtown to check it out.”
