OI708934726_HeadshotVirginia Snyder, 36, of Bourbon, Ind., passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Center for Hospice Care Hospice House in Elkhart, Ind.

She was born on July 21, 1976, in Chicago, Ill., to Kimberly S. Fultz. She attended George Washington High School in Chicago and attended the University of Illinois. She was married on July 2, 2007, in Plymouth to James E. Snyder who survives.

She moved to Bourbon 12 years ago from Chicago and formerly worked at Journey’s End Bar in Bourbon. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Bourbon and formerly attended the First Baptist Church in Hammond, Ind.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters: Cheyanna Sioux Marie Greene, Bourbon; Mackenzy Jane Freels, Bourbon; Courtney Danielle Hickey, North Chicago, Ill.; Shannon Suzanne Kienitz, Indianapolis, Ind.; a son: Marcus Snyder, Bourbon; her mother; a sister: Brenda (Timothy) Jackson, Chicago; two brothers: Richard Hack and Gerald Wojtas, both of Chicago; and former step-father: Richard Wojtas, Chicago.

There will be no public services as requested by Virginia.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Virginia Snyder Funeral Fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
