Summer Arrives With Sunny Skies; Weekend Forecast Includes Chance Of Rain

Sunny conditions are expected throughout today, June 21, and weather will remain dry tonight for the Central Park Concert Series this evening featuring “Sensational Soul Brothers at the Central Park Plaza (which is just south of the Glover Pavilion pictured above). The performance begins at 7 p.m.

WARSAW — Summer’s arrival today — the longest day of the year — promises pleasant weather conditions today and tonight, but look for rain this weekend.

The National Weather Service in North Webster predicts sunny conditions and a high of 78 today. Tonight’s low will fall to 61 and the weather service says there is a 40 percent chance of rain after 3 a.m.

Saturday and Sunday both include a chance of storms, the weather service said.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday before 3 p.m. Another chance of rain exists Saturday night. The high Saturday will be 77.

Another chance of rain and storms will return Sunday. The high will be about 83, the weather service said.

Monday includes another chance of rain with a high of 80. Tuesday’s forecast calls for sunshine and a high of 80.
