The Outland Schmidt volleyball team won four matches to claim the championship of the Fort Wayne Snider Invitational March 24.

The championship team, comprised of 4th, 5th and 6th graders from Warsaw and West Noble, defeated Churubusco 25-6, 25-8,  Angola 25-15, 25-9 and Prairie Heights 25-7, 25-11 to reach the title match.

The Outland 12 and under team, coached by James Schmidt, then defeated host Snider 24-25, 25-0, 15-0 in the championship contest.

Members of the championship squad were Katie Schmidt, Haley Howard, McKenna Hawblitzel, Elizabeth Schmidt, Megan Sullivan, Brooklyn Slone, BreAnna Hunter, Maghan Bellamy and Courtney Chookie.

The team finished its season with a 19-3 record.
