Taiya Hope Mullins, 20, Claypool, passed away at 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis. She was the Granddaughter of Terry and Deborah Kreft, Claypool, and daughter of Jessica Johnson, Warsaw. She was born July 30, 1998, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.

Taiya had life-long health challenges, but was happy, loved, and a joy to her family and friends. Terry and Deborah were very blessed and privileged to be able to love and be loved by Taiya. Her smiles, giggles, sweetness, even at her sickest, was a reward to them. Taiya had a very special place in the hearts of all that met and knew her. Although our hearts are breaking, Heaven is rejoicing at gaining our angel.

Taiya Mullins is survived by her maternal grandparents, Terry and Deborah Kreft. Terry Lee Kreft ll, who has loved her as his sister, her mother, Jessica Johnson; grandmother, Linda Johnson; great-grandparents, Marty and Patricia Jennings; and Diane Kreft. Brother, Ricky Allen Wright, and sisters, Hailyn Debra Dunn and Monica Mullins.

Taiya Mullins was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donald Lee Johnson, and great-grandparents, Curtis and Ruth Ousley, great-grandfather, Wayne Kreft.

Visitation is scheduled from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, June 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at noon, Monday, June 10, in the funeral chapel with additional visitation hours from 10 a.m.-noon, prior to the service. Pastors Don Gibson and Glenn Hall will officiate the services. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
