WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools has partnered with Live Well Kosciusko to offer a program titled Outrun the Sun for all kindergarten through second graders at WCS. Through this program, a total of 1,629 UV ray exposure color-changing bracelets were ordered and distributed to all students in grades K-2. These bracelets turn from white to blue in order to indicate to students when they are exposed to harmful UV rays.

In addition, students received instruction through the Outrun the Sun program on how to prevent UV exposure as they prepare for outdoor summer activities. The program educates students about skin cancer and the dangers of ultraviolet rays.

Partnerships with organizations such as Live Well Kosciusko enable the team at WCS to enrich the lives of our students through engaging educational programming. To get more information on ways to protect your skin, visit www.outrunthesun.org
