Shirley D. Greene, 77, of Cumming, Ga., and formerly of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Ind.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1935, to Lester E. and Rheana (English) Wood in Pierceton.

She retired from Daltons Foundries, Inc. in 1998 after 32 years of service, she was a core finisher. She was a member of Daltons 25 year club and active in Local 6805 Union.

Shirley is survived by her five son: Rock Hughes, Warsaw; Frank, Gregory, Micheal and Phillip Hernandez all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter: Sheila (Kurt) Alford, Cumming; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Lestina Howard, Pierceton; and a son: Terry G. Wood.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, the funeral chapel. Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Larwill, Ind.
