KOSCIUSKO — A Tornado Warning has been issued for south central Kosciusko County and eastern Fulton County until 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 27.

At 8:06 p.m., a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located near Akron, or 11 miles east of Rochester, moving east at 25 miles per hour.

This is a particularly dangerous situation. Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

The tornado will be near North Manchester around 8:30 p.m.
