LEESBURG — A male driver was injured after his vehicle was struck by a train this afternoon, May 26.

Shortly after 11 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the area of CR 575N and Old SR 15, Leesburg. At the scene, a Hyundai Veloster was struck by a northbound train. According to dispatch reports, the driver was conscious and transported for his injuries by Lutheran EMS.

Also responding to the accident were officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and personnel with the Plain Township Fire Department.
