Police, Milford Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS were called at about 3:46 p.m. Monday to an accident on SR 15 just off of Waubee Road in Milford.

A semi and passenger car were involved in the crash that injured one person.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies investigating the crash say Jacob R. Vetor, 21, of Warsaw, was northbound on SR 15 and drifted over the center line and into the opposite lane of traffic. The semi attempted to swerve but contact was still made when the car struck the back of the semi.

Vetor suffered minor facial bleeding. The driver of the semi, A.O. Richard, 45, of Aurora, Colo., was unhurt.

Part of SR 15 was closed for a time as a result of the accident.

Damages are estimated at up to $25,000. Vetor’s vehicle was a total loss.
