Margaret J. Yeater, 96, Fenton, Mich., passed away at 11:34 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Crestmont Nursing Care Center of Fenton, Mich.
She was born on April 11, 1923 in Akron, to Gordon and Edith (Vandermark) Young.
In 1968 she moved to Michigan and moved back to Warsaw in 1989. She was united in marriage to Cloyce E. Yeater on July 12, 1942, in Napolean, Ohio. Cloyce preceded Margaret in death on April 9, 2004. During her life she worked for Sengers Dept. Store as well as Thomas’s Big R both of Warsaw. She also worked for various other department stores in Michigan. During her life she attended Harrison Center EUB Church and Lake Fenton United Methodist Church. She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary Post #3243, VFW National Home in Grand Rapids, Mich., and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #253, North Webster, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter; Janice Ritter of Fenton, MI; son Dan (Cindy) Yeater of Byron, Mich.; daughter-in-law Charlotte Yeater of Warsaw; grandchildren; Douglas Ritter of Fenton, Mich.; Cindy (Keith) Bryant of Flint, Mich.; Casey (Megan) Yeater of Swartz Creek, Mich.; Darcy (Marc) Lover of Eagle, Mich.; great-grandchildren Ashlie (David) Hervert of Flint, Mich.; Nicholas Bryant of Flint, Mich.; Madison and Mackenna Lover of Eagle, Mich.; and Addison and Peyton Ritter of Fenton, Mich.; great-great-grandchildren Levi and Landon Hervert of Flint; and a sister, Frances Ervin of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son; Ron Yeater, sisters Doris Ann, Mary Pike and Opal Epler; brothers Everett Young and Charles Young and a son-in-law; Louis Ritter.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, May 13, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate the Funeral Service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
