Sophia Everett, 96, Syracuse, passed away on May 3, 2019, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1922, in Snowflake, Va. to Charlie and Lilly (Nash) Strong.

A Syracuse resident, she also lived in the Kimmell area for several years, having also lived in Muncie.

She is lovingly survived by her four daughters: Anna Engel of Bryan, Ohio; Sandra (Joe) Badillo of Fredericksburg, Va.; Pat Cooper of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Kim (Jerry) Hyde of Syracuse; one son, Gene (Ann) Nash of Bluefield, W. Va.; 16 grandchildren, and many great and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Peggy Hileman of St. Paul, Va.; Juanita Culler of Princeton, Va.; and Dola Meade.

She was preceded by one son, five brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tueasday, May 7, at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
