McSurley, OnitaOnita Jean McSurley, 84, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, in  Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Dwale, Ky., to Jack Osborne and Emma Ellis. She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County, Ind.

On Jan. 21, 1946, she married Lonie McSurley in Prestonsburg, Ky. She worked as a packer at R.R. Donnelley and Sons Co. for 23 years before retiring in 1990.

Onita is survived by two daughters: Mary McSurley, Warsaw; and Katherine (Jerry) Ziegler, Columbia City, Ind.; two sisters: Pat Wallace, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Rebecca Goble, Warsaw; a brother: William T. Osborne, Cochran, Ga.; two grandchildren: Mark (Becky) Ziegler, Cory, Ind.; and Kimberly Ziegler, Winona Lake, Ind.; four great-grandchildren: MacKenzie G. Ziegler, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Emily, Anna and Nathan Ziegler, at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Lonie McSurley; and two brothers: Charles Osborne and infant brother Osborne.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, at the funeral home with Rev. Chad Burkhart of Victory Christian Center, Warsaw; and Pastor Rick Stewart, Palestine Bible Church, Palestine, Ind. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
