Nekia T. (McCloskey) Hedstrom, 39, Lakeville, died at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at St. Joseph Regional Med Center, Mishawaka.

She was born March 10, 1980, in Goshen, to Philip McCloskey and Kalonie (Donat) Loucks.

Surviving are her fiancé: Joseph Ankrom, Lakeville; siblings: Bobby (Hilda) Young, Rockville; Angel Francis, Elkhart; Travis Loucks, Goshen; Marley (Robert) Halsey, Cromwell; two children: Ian Harker & Terri Berkey; four step-children: Christina (Jesse) Hershberger, Brittany (Mark) Johnson, Heather Ankrom, and Hailee Ankrom; nine step-great-grandchildren; and grandma: Glady Graff, Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nekia was a member of the American Legion, Middlebury, and the Goshen Moose. She loved music, country and oldies. She also enjoyed dancing, cooking and spending time with her children and family.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, with the service at 4 p.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Ruben Chupp will officiate.
