Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
2:32 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, SR 15, north of Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Gary W. Bradley, 63, LaFever Street, Ossian; Arturo A. Ortiz, 47, Lincoln Highway, New Haven; Lisa A. Williams, 46, Fox Farm Road, Warsaw; and Taylar C. Roberts, 27, Smith Street, Milford. Bradley’s vehicle rear-ended Ortiz’s vehicle, resulting in Ortiz’s vehicle being pushed into Williams’ vehicle. Roberts’ vehicle then came along and struck the rear part of Williams’ vehicle. Damage up to $100,000.
2:07 p.m. Monday, April 22, SR 15, south of West CR 300S, Warsaw. Drivers: Angela R. Doss, 44, West Main Street, Wabash; and Richard T. Graham, 43, North Sycamore Street, Gaston. Doss’ vehicle rear-ended Graham’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:34 p.m. Sunday, April 21, Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Drivers: Teric S. McCool, 34, CR 138, Goshen; and Michael S. Eldridge, 45, Downy Drive, Warsaw. McCool was backing out of a parking space and backed into the rear left side of Eldridge’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:43 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, SR 15, north of Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather N. Hale, 35, Lindberg Street, Warsaw; and Jo L. Methuselah, 50, Chestnut Avenue, Winona Lake. Hale’s vehicle rear-ended Methuselah’s vehicle. Methuselah complained of neck pain but refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
7:06 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, SR 15 and Herscher Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Micah L. Hoffman, 18, Gable Drive, Warsaw; and Mark G. Fick, 50, EMS T6A Lane, Leesburg. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Damage up to $2,500.
10:14 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, Center Street. Driver: Christopher L. Carson, 51, Myers Hill Road, Tracy City, Tenn. Carson said he was driving his box truck under the front overhang area of Wyndam Gardens Hotel. He advised he was almost all the way under the overhang when he heard and felt his vehicle hit something. The rear few inches of his truck hit the overhang, causing damage to the building. Damage up to $25,000.
3:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, South Buffalo Street and Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Esther R. Osborne, 38, Oriole Lane, Warsaw; and Jennifer D. Shepherd, 44, Valley River Drive, Columbia City. Osborne’s vehicle rear-ended Shepherd’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
1:52 p.m. Sunday, April 21, Administration Drive, Warsaw. Police were notified of a hit/skip accident that occurred Sunday afternoon, April 21. School surveillance video shows a dark colored SUV leaving the roadway approximately 100 feet south of the entrance to Warsaw Community High School on SR 15. The vehicle hit the center divider and went airborne. The vehicle then crossed the other lane of travel at the entrance and traveled through the yard of the school corporation, ultimately striking a van parked at the school administration building. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. No damage amount was listed in the police report.
Fulton
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
- 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, SR 17 and CR 100S, north of Kewanna. Drivers: Nance E. Winters, 68, Winamac and Brenda F. Taylor, 57, Kewanna.
- 7:46 p.m. Monday, April 22, North SR 25, Rochester. Driver: Christian A. Alwine, 23, Rochester. Alwine suffered a possible broken leg after his dirt bike struck a tree.
