Elizabeth Vanderfleet, 90, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on March 20, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

She was born on March 12, 1923 in Jackson, Michigan to Lyle and Maxine (Fleming) Hyland. On Nov. 19, 1949, she married Joseph A. Vanderfleet who preceded her in 2005.

She was a summer resident since 1957 moving to the area full time in 1969 from Indianapolis.

She is survived by her daughter: Mrs. Dennis (Lee Ann ) Paternoster, Syracuse; two grandsons: Lyle and Jim Paternoster, Syracuse; one sister: Luella Drum, Fla.

There will be private family interment at the Syracuse cemetery.
