WARSAW — A sinkhole appeared in the middle of Winona Avenue, near the Lake Street intersection today, April 3.

The sinkhole is in the middle of the road and traffic is currently being diverted on either side. Workers with INDOT are currently on scene patching the hole to reopen the road as soon as possible.

The city of Warsaw released a statement urging residents to drive carefully in the area or find an alternate route. The city states that the area will be monitored fur further development.
