NORTH WEBSTER — If you’re looking for fun things to do over spring break next week, bring the kids to the North Webster Community Public Library for Family Bingo at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4.

It is easy to play for kids of all ages. Multiple rounds are played with each round lasting until everyone bingos and wins a prize.

Tuesday crafts and stories will continue over spring break at 4 p.m. in the youth department where children make crafts while listening to stories. They can also sign up for a private 15-minute reading session with therapy dog Echo and practice their oral reading skills beginning at 4 p.m. every Tuesday. The reading sessions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance at the youth services desk or by calling (574) 834-7122 ext. 202.

To keep the kids entertained at home, parents can borrow a Book Buddy play kit. Each of the 25 themed kits contains books and educational toys and can be checked out for a week. On any day, kids can take a scavenger hunt through the library, play games on the youth department computers, and check out books and movies.

The adult services department is currently accepting registrations for a tour of the local National Weather Service station at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. Meeting at the weather station located on SR 13 north of North Webster, the group will tour the facilities and learn about weather technology and forecasting. The tour is free, but you must sign up in advance at the library circulation desk, as there’s limited space available. Registration can also be taken over the phone by calling (574) 834-7122. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
