NORTH WEBSTER — Do you have a family story to tell? Write it down and bring it to Writer’s Corner at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, at North Webster Community Public Library. Meeting the third Monday each month, Writer’s Corner is a group of people who enjoy writing. Each month the group is assigned to write on a specific subject and bring their compositions to share with the group. This month’s assignment is to write about a family story. Whether you are an amateur or published author, Writer’s Corner is a place to share ideas and network with other writers.

If you have an artistic bent, come to the library’s adult coloring session 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, for an informal time of coloring, relaxing and visiting with others. Bring your own coloring supplies and coloring sheets.

Young children are learning about life on the farm during Preschool Story Time in the youth department every Wednesday through April 10 with two time sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Children ages 3-5 are invited to come and listen to stories, participate in finger plays and story boards and make a craft.

With busy family schedules, it’s hard to find the time to bring the kids to the library to browse for books. Save time with grab and go bags available in the youth department. Eleven bags are available, each pre-filled with 10 books. Some bags are themed with books pertaining to a specific subject or interest while other bags are designated for accelerated reader reading levels. It’s a fast and convenient way to select and check out books. Just drop in, grab and go.

The March reading contest in the adult circulation department is all about green. Read a book, listen to an audio book or watch a movie DVD that pertains to the color green. Then enter the title, along with your name and phone number, in the drawing for a chance to win a prize. It can have the word “green” in the title, have a green cover or have something green in the story. The more you read, listen and watch, the more chances you have to win. The contest ends March 30.
