Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
9:49 a.m. Monday, March 11, North SR 19, north of West CR 1100N, Nappanee. Driver: Michael A. Williams, 59, Marydale Drive, Elkhart. Williams told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 19 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
7:49 a.m. Monday, March 11, East US 30, east of Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Anna L. Frantz, 25, Rochester Boulevard, Rochester. Frantz told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:15 p.m. Thursday, March 7, West Crystal Lake Road, west of South CR 500W, Warsaw. Driver: Jaidlyn B. Larimore, 24, William Street, Plymouth. Larimore told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on Crystal Lake Road when her vehicle left the roadway, causing her to over-correct. The vehicle left the same side of the road and rolled over, ejecting Larimore. Larimore refused medical treatment at the scene and was issued a citation for driving while suspended. Damage up to $10,000.
Pierceton
Officers from the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:35 p.m. Saturday, March 9, US 30, west of CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Megan R. Whitaker, 35, East Garfield Street, Warsaw. Whitaker told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on US 30 when the vehicle began to hydroplane on wet pavement, causing it to leave the roadway twice before striking a barbed wire fence. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:59 a.m. Monday, March 11, Ranch Road, south of Fawley Street, Warsaw. Driver: Michael L. Hollar, 69, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Hollar told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on Ranch Road when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
