It is with great sadness that the family of Emma Marie Lutz announce her passing after a brief illness, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the age of 83 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years, Jack Earl Lutz. She was born April 12, 1936, in Elwood.
Emma (“Mom”, “Grandma”, Sis, Aunt and Friend) Lutz was a wonderful person who never met a stranger. She was loved by her family and friends. She saw the good in everyone because she had so much good in herself. Her sense of humor was shown on her gravestone when she had “WOW, Thank You Lord – what a wonderful ride!” placed on it.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Scott Earl (Kim) Lutz of Bremen; Jack Keith (Patience) Lutz of Wakarusa; Stephen Paul (Sue) Lutz of Eaton; and Karen Ann (Ed) Hull of Marana, Ariz. She had many grandchildren: Austin Lutz, Tory Lutz, Heather Lutz, Earl (Miranda) Hull, Mindy (Wade) Free, Christine (Michael) Chrepta, Jody (Chad) Werker, Nicholas Lutz, Brian, Coty and Tyler Edwards. She also leaves her great-grandchildren: Titus Hull, Rory and Eleanor Chrepta, Corey, Mallory, Lauren and Miles Hainlin, Katie and Krissy Werker, Alex Frazier, Dillon Lutz, Krystal and Daniel Free, Michael Larson, Savannah, Kaylee and Bentley Lutz, Jordan, Kyle and Bryan Gibson, Chad and Olivia Lutz, Camille, Jarrod, Lincoln, Andrew, Alexia and Victoria Edwards; as well as several great-great-grandchildren; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Emma leaves her loving sister, Freda (Floyd) Bird, of Muncie, and two sister-in-laws Martha Loyd and Helen Hartley.
A special person, Ava Marie Weldy, she loved as a grandchild and was always a light in her life. Also, a very important part of her life was Miller’s Merry Manor’s staff, nurses, and patients as they were all very important to her and where she was voted Valentine’s Day Queen 2019.
Emma was also pre-deceased by her parents, a sister, Mary, three brothers, Bob Brower, Fred Brower and Bill Brower. She was also predeceased by a son, James Meyers, grandsons Chad and Shawn Lutz and Kim Gibson.
