The former Gas America station at 443 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, will soon be re-opening under new ownership.

New signs on the canopy indicate that the location will be re-opening as a Mobil station.

According to Warsaw City Planner Jeremy Skinner, the location was purchased in the fall by Karnail Singh. A permit to obtain a new sign for the gas station has been received by the city planner’s office from Johnson Brothers Signs out of South Whitley.

Work began at the station on changing out old dispensers today. According to a worker on site, the gas dispensers will be set today and will be followed with new line installation in the near future.

Though the opening date of the station is still unknown, the worker said the soonest Warsaw residents will likely see the new location open would be in about a month’s time.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
