WARSAW — Local representatives of KGP Telecommunications, Inc. today detailed plans to support workforce affected by a recently announced reduction in positions at the company’s Warsaw operations.
“KGPCo is a family owned company with a strong commitment to our employees and to the communities in which we are active,” said Director of Operations David Russell, “We have a lot of great employees here and are trying to do everything we can to help them find good jobs. We appreciate the contributions made during their tenure with us and hope the best for them in their future careers.”
Company leaders have been working with WorkOne Northern Indiana and at least 15 area employers to organize an in-house job fair for affected employees that will take place on Monday, Feb. 25. Other local companies interested in participating in the job fair can obtain more information by calling (574) 269-4999 ext. 5.
In addition, local residents are encouraged to attend the already-scheduled Warsaw Winter Job Fair that will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at The Roost at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café, 4217 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw, and will feature companies ready to accept résumé’s onsite.
“We understand that companies make decisions every day to respond to market conditions and appreciate how difficult workforce reductions are for all involved,” said Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, “Nonetheless, we commend the local leadership at KGPCo and our partners at WorkOne Northern Indiana for their work to support the employees and families who will be affected.”
Representatives of WorkOne Northern Indiana are working onsite at KGPCo to provide re-employment services such as resume preparation and mock interviews.
