
Mabel J. Barnhart, 72, Atwood, passed away at 10:31 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born May 11, 1946, in Paintsville, Ky. to Herschel and Edna (Blanton) Francis.
A resident of Atwood since 1968, she was employed by Creighton Brothers and retired with 30 ½ years of service. She was united in marriage to Howard Barnhart on Oct. 5, 1968, in Warsaw.
Mrs. Barnhart is survived by her husband, Howard Barnhart of Atwood; a son, Steve Barnhart of Warsaw; a daughter, Diana Lynn Barnhart of Atwood; a brother, Lacey Francis, Sr. of Laurel, Mont.; sisters: Thelma Jewel (spouse Lester) Hall of Billings, Mont.; and Nellie (spouse Bill) Wildman of Florida. In addition, four grandchildren survive.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 3-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, with Pastor Lester Hall officiating. Interment will be in Wooden Cemetery, Harrison Center, Etna Green.
