LAGRANGE — A horse and buggy driven by a 12-year-old was hit after running a stop sign in LaGrange County Monday night.
Deputies say the buggy was traveling south on County Road 300 E, east of LaGrange when it ran a stop sign at the intersection with US 20. A semi traveling on the highway was unable to avoid the buggy and hit it, causing it to roll over.
The 12-year-old driver of the buggy was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries. A 7-year-old passenger was released to family members who were on scene. The driver of the semi refused medical treatment. The condition of the horse was not released.
