Karl Marvin Scott, 62, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, where he was admitted on Saturday.

He was born May 4, 1951, in Columbia City, Ind., a twin son of Adrian Monroe and Lois May (Barnes) Scott. His formative years were spent in Columbia City and later Fort Wayne, Ind. In 1977, he and his twin brother, Kevin, moved to South Bend.

He was survived by his brother: Kevin Monroe Scott; a half sister: Mardelle (Jeff) Menzie, Warsaw, Ind.; step-mother: Pauline Scott of Columbia City; and two step-sisters: Roxanne (William) Thomas, Columbia City; and Brenda (Craig) Schrader, Tekonsha, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rickey Scott, who was killed in Vietnam.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
