Warsaw Police were called to a residence in the 800 block of East Center Street shortly before 10 a.m. today where a man reportedly was armed with a gun.

Police, with the assistance of Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies, immediately shut down an area of Center Street in front of the residence and located the man inside the home. The initial caller told dispatchers her adult son was armed with a gun and threatened to kill himself and anyone who got in his way.

When authorities arrived, the man was not armed and was taken to Bowen Center for treatment.
