Carlotta May Tackett, 71, Claypool, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at her residence. She was born Oct. 31, 1947, in Warren, to Marion Francis and Vivian (McDonald) Flemming Sr.

She grew up in Warren and graduated from Rock Creek High School in Huntington. She was married on July 19, 1969, in Van Buren, to Joe Tackett who survives and they moved to Claypool in 1988 from Marion. She was employed as a C.N.A. at the Methodist Home in Warren for 17 years, Mason Home Healthcare in Warsaw for more than five years, and was a bus driver for Tippecanoe Valley Schools for 23 years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Dixie (Timothy) Holloway, Silver Lake; Melissia Tackett, Warsaw; two sons: David (Tracy) Tackett, Pickensivlle, Ala.; Jobey (Deanna) Tackett, Haubstadt; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild; six sisters: Wanda (Dan) Hinen, Cornelia Johnson, both of Fort Wayne; Mary (Steve) Randall, Patty Whitney, Phyllis Herring and Vianna (Bob) Johnson, all of Huntington; two brothers: John (Treva) Flemming, Warren; Richard (Ronda) Flemming, Van Buren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda Flemming, and two bothers, Marion Francis Flemming Jr. and Terry Flemming.

No public services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
