MontgomeryGentry - MediaWWKI welcomes country duo Montgomery Gentry to the Honeywell Center in Wabash at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 15.

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are back on the road with their new album Rebels on the Run. The Grammy nominated, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music award-winning duo agree that their greatest accomplishment came in 2009 when they were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.

“Unlike other awards, becoming members of the Grand Ole Opry is something people can’t take away from you,” said Troy Gentry. “Other awards come and go, but once you become a member of the Opry, you are a member for life, that’s something that Eddie and I are very proud to be a part of.”

Montgomery Gentry’s Wabash appearance will feature music from their new album along with favorite hits including “Something To Be Proud Of,” “If You Ever Stop Loving Me” and “Roll With Me.”

Opening the show will be special guest Ira Dean. Dean is a former member of the country group Trick Pony and has been involved with the Honeywell Center’s Educational Outreach Program for years. In 2011 he filmed a music video for his song “Somethin’ Bout a Sunday” almost entirely in Wabash.

Tickets are $29, $49, $69 and $100 and can be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or online.

Sponsorship for the event is provided by Corporate Sponsor Harmon Photography, along with Associate Sponsor MC Contracting LLC.
