Michael Dean Shields, 58, Elkhart, formerly of Nappanee, died at 12:50 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Woodland Manor in Elkhart.  He was born Feb. 2, 1960, in Elkhart to Larry and Judy (Good) Shields.

He is survived by a sister, Connie (Jerry) Swihart, Osceola; brothers, Jeff Shields, Osceola, Tom (Traci) Shields, Syracuse, and Mel (Jill) Shields, Nappanee; and nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Graveside services will take place at a later date.
