
NOBLE COUNTY — A Ligonier Police officer and his 21-year-old wife were killed in a crash Monday night near Cromwell.
The Noble County Sheriff’s Department said late Monday a fatal, two-vehicle crash happened on C.R. 200N east of CR 1000W near Cromwell.
A preliminary investigation by a Noble County Sheriff’s deputy found 22-year-old Ethan Kiser of Kimmell was traveling westbound on CR 200N east around 6:40 p.m. His vehicle spun sideways in the road and went left of center, into the oncoming path of a SUV driven by 76-year-old James Borden of Fort Wayne.
Ethan Kiser and his wife, 21-year-old Shawna Kiser, were pronounced dead when medics arrived.
The City of Ligonier posted on its Facebook that Ethan Kiser was a police officer with the Ligonier Police Department.
