Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incident:

• 8:49 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 200 block of East Nelson Drive, Milford. Police responded to the Michael Gumz residence to investigate the theft of a grinder stolen from a car. Value: $300.
• 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2900 block of West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Police responded to the William Reels residence to investigate a fraud. An unknown subject contacted the victim by email, causing a change in the victim’s checking account and gaining access to the victim’s pay check. Damage: $1,000.
