Donald Lee Phillips, 80, of rural Wabash, died at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at his home. He was born Sept. 7, 1938, in Plymouth, to Robert and Leora (Senff) Phillips.

He graduated from Wabash High School in 1956, and received his Associate degree from the International Business College in Fort Wayne. He married Edith Everroad at the Central E.U.B. Church in Wabash on June 10, 1961. He retired as a sales representative for US Gypsum after 30 years, and also was a sales rep for Metal Sales in Louisville, Ky. He attended the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. He was a member of the Presidents Club with US Gypsum, and a former member of the Roann Lions Club and the Roann Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to his cottage on Beaver Dam Lake, traveling to Florida, and tinkering on their farm.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Phillips of Wabash; three daughters, Kelli (David) Singer of North Manchester; Krissa (Todd) Schindler of Wabash; and Kandi (Jeff) Pretorius of Yorktown; six grandchildren, Kortnee Singer of Goshen; Karla Singer of Colcord, Okla.; Paige (Grant) Schuler of Roann; Braydon Schindler of Wabash; Zack Pretorius and Cade Pretorius, both of Yorktown; great-grandson, Branson Schuler of Roann; and his brother in law, Tom Whitmyre of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Carol Whitmyre.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Solomon David officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-8pm Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are Bachelor Creek Church of Christ or American Heart Association.
