Charles Robert “Bob” Dye, 70, Naples, Fla., formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 4:56 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Goshen Hospital. He was born on Sept. 16, 1948, in Warsaw, to Charles L “Chuck” and Dorothy I. (Watkins) Dye.

He graduated in 1966 from Leesburg High School, International Business College in Fort Wayne and was a United States Army veteran. He lived in Leesburg until he moved to Florida 30 years ago and was married to Cheryl (Huffman) Landis, who survives. He was an insurance agent and real estate broker for many years. He formerly was employed at C. Dye Insurance Agency in Leesburg and at a sign company in Florida.

Formerly attended the North Webster Church of God.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Chris and Mike Landis, Naples, Fla.; two grandchildren; his mother; two sisters: Susan (Rick) Stookey, Leesburg; Nancy Miner and Randy Sindelar, Warsaw; brother, John (Linda) Dye, Nappanee; foster brother, Danny Tat, Leesburg.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 3-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, memorial services will follow at 4:30 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
