Carl J. Petno Jr, 83, Syracuse, passed away Dec. 31, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor. He was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Uniontown, Penn. to Carl and Florence (Berardi) Petno Sr.

On March 31, 1994, he married Pamela Ellison, who survives.  He retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 27 years. He then retired from the civilian sector with GTE in 1996.

He is survived by his wife Pamela Petno of Syracuse; two sons: Stephen (Kristine) Petno of St. Charles, Ill.; and Douglas (Lisa) Petno of New Canaan, Conn.; one daughter, Elizabeth Smith of Columbus; one step-daughter, Tracy Bolles of Longwood, Fla.; one step-son, Christopher (Melissa) Bolles of Fishers; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Vince (Lee) Petno of Stowe, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Sunday, January 6, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Syracuse cemetery with Military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care fund.
