PIERCETON — Around 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, an accident occurred on East US 30, west of East CR 900E, Pierceton.

Tyler P. Dispensa, 21, Angle Tran, West Dundee, Ill., was traveling west on US 30 when he attempted to switch lanes. He failed to notice the vehicle driven by Charles W. Rebman, 79, South CR 600W, South Whitley. Dispensa’s vehicle collided with Rebman’s vehicle.

Dispensa’s vehicle went left into the median, while Rebman’s vehicle began to spin and left the roadway on the right side of US 30. Rebman said his neck was bothering him. A passenger in Reman’s vehicle, Ada Rebman, 72, Claypool, complained of chest pain. Both were transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, along with emergency responders from Pierceton Fire Department and Lutheran EMS worked the scene. Damages from the accident were estimated at up to $25,000.
