NORTH WEBSTER — Accompanied by his menagerie of animal friends, Expert Animal Handler Mark Kohlhorst will present his popular Mark’s Ark Live Animal Show at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the North Webster Community Public Library. Kids and their families will get to meet, pet and learn about all sorts of animals from cute and furry to creepy crawly. All the animals are people-friendly and closely supervised. The show is free and open to kids of all ages.
At 1 p.m. on the previous day Thursday, Dec. 27, bring the kids to play holiday bingo in the youth department. Multiple rounds are played, with each round lasting until everyone wins. Winners get to choose their own prizes with lots of choices. It’s easy for kids of all ages to play and everyone goes home with several prizes.
Do you know someone who is homebound and would like to check out library materials? The library’s homebound delivery program provides a free delivery and pick-up service for patrons unable to come to the library. A homebound patron can select materials from the library’s website or the library staff can make selections based on the patron’s preferences. A volunteer then delivers the materials and returns to pick them up. To be eligible for this service, a patron must be a resident of Tippecanoe Township, unable to come to the library due to a disability or illness lasting six weeks or longer and have no one who can go to the library for them. To find out if you or someone you know is eligible, contact Adult Services Director Beth Smith at 95740 834-7122 ext. 205 or [email protected].
The library will be closed all day on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Dec. 25; New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
