The annual July Fourth week celebration on Lake Wawasee has been set.

The Wawasee Flotilla committee met tonight and set the flotilla date for Saturday, July 6. The theme of this year’s parade on water is “Wide World of Sports” and participants are asked to honor their favorite sports team.

Line-up for the Wawasee Flotilla will begin that day at 1 p.m. at the Wawasee Spink condominiums. The parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. and circle clockwise around the lake.

The flotilla committee encourages homeowners on Lake Wawasee to also decorate their piers in accordance with the theme. Prizes will be awarded for both the parade of boats participants and for homeowners.
