KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau has received notification from tourism partner businesses regarding sales scam incidents.

Calls have been received from both a male and a female individual claiming to be selling guide ads on behalf of the CVB and asking for payment over the phone. In one instance, the caller posed as a current CVB staff member. The CVB has completed its sales cycle for the 2019 visitor guide.

“If you receive a sales call do not act and please report immediately to the CVB office,” said Jill Boggs, executive director. “The CVB has a process for its advertising sales cycle that our business partners are familiar with. If any changes occur in that process, prior notification will be issued from our office. The incidents have been reported to the Warsaw City Police Department,” said Boggs.
