Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:07 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 604 N. Jefferson St., Silver Lake. Driver: Bill Rose, 62, West CR 1500N, Silver Lake. Rose was backing his vehicle out of a parking space when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:09 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, North Sullivan Road, east of B48 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Gordon Allen, 36, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Allen’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
7:22 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, South Buffalo Street and East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Driver: Shawntal Shepherd, 22, Clinic Court, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle “overshot” a turn and struck the east-west train tracks. There was no damage to the train tracks, only Shepherd’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
6:52 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, US 30, east of Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Judith McCartney, 76, 4th Road, Plymouth; and Donald Grimm, 73, John Road, Warsaw. McCartney’s vehicle rear-ended Grimm’s vehicle when traffic was slowing down for a red stoplight. Damages up to $2,500.
8:46 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, Market Street and Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Patsy Moore, 89, Lincoln Street, Warsaw; and Erika Ayala, 26, Sue Avenue, Winona Lake. Moore pulled her vehicle out of a parking lot and into the path of Ayala’s vehicle, causing the vehicles to collide. Damages up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, SR 25, north of Ferguson Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Steven Sulkey, 38, Villa Court, North Manchester. Sulkey’s vehicle began to fishtail and left the roadway, landing on top of an under roadway culvert. Damages up to $1,000.
