Woodford “Woody” Johnson, 80, Mentone, passed at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1938, in Richmond, Mo., to Nelson and Evelyn (Lusk) Johnson.

He married on May 17, 1957, in Richmond, Mo., to Juanita Faye Judd; she preceded on May 16, 2007.

Johnson formerly was part owner and plant manager of Kralis Brothers. He had 50 years in the poultry processing business.

He was a 1957 graduate of Richmond High School. He was a former member of the Missouri National Guard. He enjoyed driving and modifying his vehicles. He was an avid Chrysler and Dodge owner. He always kept a clean truck and was known for his custom chrome on everything he drove. He could be seen touring Mentone most days on his golf cart with his dog Dexter. In earlier years he was a motorcycle enthusiast and even rode out to Sturgis.

Survivors include daughters: Cheryl (Dan) Sneed, Greentown; Shelly Sill, Durham, N.C.; Denise (Mark) Fisher, Rochester; a son: Dennis Johnson (Kim McKnight), Cumming, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Nelson and Evelyn Johnson; and his wife: Juanita Johnson.

Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Jason Rice officiating.

Burial will take place at Mentone Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at King Memorial Home.
