Jim Ritter, 67, Warsaw passed away at 5:52 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, in his residence. He was born on July 8, 1951, to Edgar and Hazel (Marshall) Ritter in Indianapolis.

He was united in marriage on July 2, 1977, to Kay Nyenhuis in Warsaw. He graduated from Franklin Central High School, Wanamaker in 1970 and Purdue University in 1974 with a degree in Engineering Technology. He then furthered his education and received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1979. He worked at Medtronic as Director of Technical Services for 19 years. In 2004 he started his management consulting company Aquila Consultants. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw. He was a member of the F. &A.M. Masonic Lodge #73, Warsaw, Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite and a past Scout Master of Troop 730, Warsaw.

He had a strong love for his Lord and Savior that grew stronger throughout his four-year battle of Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. He was sustained by his faith, his family and his friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife; Kay Ritter of Warsaw, sons; Jesse Ritter of Greeley, Colo., Chris (wife Lauren) of Warsaw, brothers; Charlie Ritter of Plainfield, and Ric (wife Claudia) Ritter of Rocky Ripple. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Alice Ritter and a sister-in-law; Susan Ritter.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at noon, Thursday, Nov. 8, with one hour prior visitation in First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Pastor Brian Smith will officiate the Funeral Service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with all arrangements.
