Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
9:34 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, East US 30, west of Arnolt Drive, Pierceton. Driver: Reed E. Nutt, 61, South Main Street, Delphos, Ohio. Nutt’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:47 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, South SR 13, north of CR 1000N, Syracuse. Driver: Michael J. Landry, 35, County Road 42, Goshen. Landry’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, US 30 West, west of CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Carlos J. Moreno, 48, Raleigh Street, Columbia City. Moreno stated he was traveling west on US 30 when his vehicle was sideswiped by a large truck traveling west on US 30. Moreno advised the truck did not stop. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Driver: Scott M. Bradley, 36, Washington Street, Pierceton. Bradley advised that as he was driving through the parking lot of a business, his vehicle hopped the curb. His vehicle caught the building’s awning causing damage to the building. Damage up to $25,000.
1:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, South Detroit Street and East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Anneris Bonilla Acosta, 22, Stonewall Court, Nappanee. Bonilla Acosta stated that she was stopped at a red light when her vehicle was struck from behind. She advised the other driver backed up and went around her vehicle, leaving the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
9:37 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, East Market Street, west of South Park Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Faith Tipsword, 25, Strong Avenue, Elkhart. Tipsword advised she was backing her vehicle out of a private driveway when her vehicle struck a trash dumpster. Damage up to $2,500.
11:49 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, East Center Street, north of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Brendt L. Smith, 59, West Canal Street, Winona Lake; and Ezell Jackson, 57, Harrisburg Road, Milledgeville, Ga. Jackson advised he was traveling through the intersection when Smith disregarded a red light, resulting in Smith’s vehicle rear-ending Jackson’s vehicle. Smith refused to cooperate with officers at the scene of the accident. He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement and battery on a law enforcement officer. Damage up to $5,000.
