
Bruce Dean Swope, 56, Warsaw, passed away at 6:21 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born Jan. 27, 1962, in Sunbury, Penn. to Buryl D. “Dean” & Cleda Ann (Lawhorn) Swope.
He grew up in the South Bend area and graduated in 1980 from Clay High School in South Bend. He formerly worked for Indiana Department of Transportation for 18 ½ years and moved to Warsaw one year ago from North Liberty.
He was an avid fisherman and former hockey player.
He is survived by two daughters: Beatrice Cooper, Columbus, Ohio; Sophie Swope, Niles, Mich.; parents: Dean and Cleda Swope, Warsaw; sister: Christy Swope, Warsaw; brother: Steven (Kathryn) Swope, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County Chapel, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow and private family burial will take place at a later date.
