CROMWELL — Patricia A. “Patty” Noffsinger, 72, Homosassa, Fla. (formerly of Cromwell) passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Vitas Inpatient Hospice in Lecanto, Fla. She was born on Oct. 13, 1945, in South Bend.

She lived most of her life in the Ligonier, Syracuse and Cromwell area before moving to Homosassa in 2014. On Aug. 26, 1966, in LaGrange, she married Walter O. “Walt” Noffsinger, who survives. She was a homemaker, former nurse’s aide for McCray Hospital in Kendallville, Goshen Home Health Care and Cardinal Center in Warsaw.

She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Homosassa, Fla. and formerly attended the Kingdom Hall in Cromwell.

She is survived by her husband, Walter O. Noffsinger, Homosassa; three daughters: Mary Jane (Tom) Calbeck, Ligonier; Cheryl Elaine (Johnny) Ross, Elkhart; and Jennifer Marie (Bob) Baughman, Syracuse; three sons: Walter John (Janelle) Noffsinger, Lebanon, Ohio; David Lee (Mary) Noffsinger, Elkhart; and David James Noffsinger, Elkhart; a sister: Virginia Hofmann, Mishawaka; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents: Clarence and Esther Weber; her first husband; an infant son,  Brian; two brothers: Timothy Allman and Dennis Fye; and two sisters: Dorothy Barnes and Victoria Sue Szablak.

Visitation will be from 4 -7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.  Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at the funeral home with Mel Chupp officiating.  Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
