WARSAW — The Beaman Home is commemorating October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by launching an awareness campaign on social media.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is a nationally-recognized time for remembrance and reflection. It is also a time for action. We know it takes bold action to prevent domestic violence and support survivors.

“So, this year Beaman Home is asking residents to participate, organize, and prevent,” said Trina Hoy, donor engagement specialist at Beaman Home. “Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.Take action this month by volunteering at the Beaman Home, and work to help make your community a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for families.”

Hoy said making a donation will help families that are suffering from the trauma of domestic violence and are trying to pick up the pieces of their lives.

To donate, donors can mail a check to PO Box 12, Warsaw, IN 46580; donate items to the Basic Needs Center at 1023 E. Winona Avenue, in Warsaw; donate with automatic withdrawals from a checking account, or online at www.TheBeamanHome.com/donate.

Beaman Home is celebrating this month with the very popular Bingo for Beaman event, which sold out in advance this year.

Remember, if you need help because of assault or abuse, please call the Beaman Home’s Toll Free 24/7 Crisis Hotline at (877) 725-9363.
