Share what you enjoy reading at Voyager book Club at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, when this group gathers to discuss books written by Indiana authors. Meeting the third Monday each month, this book club focuses on a specific genre each month, and members are free to read any book of their choice within that genre. It will be Hoosier-authored books this month while domestic fiction will be the genre for October.
Share your garden’s harvest and prepare a dish made with harvest food to bring to Revolving Recipe Round-Up at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25. This group of foodies meets the fourth Tuesday each month to share and sample new and favorite recipes. Each month highlights a certain type of food. While this month it will be harvest food, next month will focus on fruit dishes. In addition to a prepared dish, bring the recipe to share as well. The library provides table service and coffee.
It’s family movie night at the library 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. Showing is a PG-rated animated comedy sequel about a squirrel and his friends who band together to save their beloved home from being bulldozed to make way for an amusement park. Bring your own beverages and enjoy free popcorn.
The library will be closed all day Friday, Sept. 21, for staff training.
