Local First Responders Helping With Hurricane Florence Rescue Efforts

WARSAW — Firefighters Nate Iden and Brent Fifer, from the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, have been deployed to North Carolina with a Swift Water Rescue Team comprised of firefighters from six other Michiana departments.

The team will be aiding in rescue efforts from Hurricane Florence for the next couple of weeks.

They received their first mission today, Sept. 13. They are preparing all the equipment and briefing the team before the storm hits land.
