Catharina Julianna Landa, 94, Goshen, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare in Milford. She was born June 11, 1924, in Leeuwarden, Netherlands to Johannes and Christina (Van Aken) Overdijk.

She attended public schooling in the Netherlands and was married on March 15, 1948, in Leeuwarden, Netherlands to Wilhelmus A. “Wim” Landa, who preceded her on July 30, 2004. She was a homemaker, moved to Elkhart from the Netherlands in 1955 and lived in Sarasota for 16 years before moving back to Goshen.

She was raised in the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her son, John F. (Debra) Landa, Syracuse; five grandchildren: Bradley (Kady) Landa, Jen Grawcock, Nick Grawcock, Corri Taylor and Chad Holtzinger; five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters: Marie Kies and Hendrika Muizer (twin), two brothers: Dominicus and Tjibbe Jacob Overdijk.

No public services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
